Upcoming Online Workshops
The Fine Art of Drawing the Figure in Charcoal
August 16, 23 & 30
Each session is 2 hours long from 2 to 4 pm EDT.
$300 USD
Drawing in charcoal has the ability to not only render form in a subtle manner but convey movement and gesture beautifully. In this online workshop, I will be demonstrating how I use it as a starting point or as the main medium in drawing the figure.
I will be using charcoal but soft graphite can also be used. We will be working with a live model and photo references for both short and long poses. Each session is 2 hours from 2 to 4 pm EST via Zoom. I will be recording the sessions for later reference but do encourage students to be as present as possible during class and not depend too much on the recordings. Group dynamics and a sense of community is of importance and I feel this sometimes gets lost within the virtual world.
One week prior to our first session I will invite you to join a informal meet and greet via Zoom at 2 pm EST to go over in more detail materials and concepts about the workshop that are important. This session will be recorded if you can't attend.
Critiques for both online course will be provided during class and through email. Please contact me at camposmartin030@gmail.com (or the register button below ) with any questions.
